Location is great and we enjoyed the wood stove in the lobby seating area-- a great place to read and relax. Room was a little small but clean and comfortable. The original structure of the Wiesbaden was built in 1879 and known as Mother Buchanan's Bath House. Several decades of colorful history followed. In the 1920's, Dr. C.V. Bates, MD, built the Bates Hospital and Sanitarium over the hot springs and enlarged the caves, which were known far and wide for their beneficial treatment of arthritis.

The vapor cave is 108-109 per the front desk with air around 115 degrees. Cool showers are in the cave as well to cool off. A peaceful area outside the cave is provided to lay and rest. Showers, changing areas, and bathrooms , as well as lockers, were provided. The outside pool was also very nice. The hot springs and vapor cave at Wiesbaden Spa was absolutely heavenly. The outdoor pool is a constant feed mineral hot spring and completely relaxing at around 102 degrees. The resort provides noodles to float on and very comfortable chairs around the perimeter of the pool. A 50-amp breaker uses four wires, two of which are hot feeds of 120 volts.
