Only recently did I get curious as to the age of it. The serial number would put it at 1975. Nickel finish was fairly common on model 19s, but if it looked good shape when you bought and is now flaking I`d consider it suspect. So, it should have a Mod. 15-? stamp inside the yoke in front of the cylinder. If it is a CM, it will have either a 2" or 4" barrel with adjustable rear sight and ramped front sight.
