Lhi v.a. exams review.
I recently had 2 exams set up through a 3rd part and they wanted me to drive 1 hour for one, and 2 hours for the other. I called to reschedule both exams closer to my house and they had nothing, so I asked for them to send them back to the VA for reassignment to another provider. 2 claims were continued and one was marked as not service connected.

The IME may be done by an orthopedic surgeon or a physician who specializes in disability IME exams. I recommend the latter as they are usually much more familiar with the appropriate verbiage that VA wants to read. I had An LHI exam literally returned to the VA in 48hours and I went to PFD. Others have had to call and ask for status. I just did an exam with QTC and they told me to expect 20 days minimum but I’ve seen on this sub much quicker and much longer! hope yours is quick like my LHI. Mine was for MH increase for reference. LHI is now called Optum Serve. VES and QTC are the other major vendors for exams. Loyal Source is another vendor, in only a few states. So it is possible that when Loyal Source failed to schedule you, new exams were requested with LHI/Optum (from my understanding, regardless of which they are calling themselves, the exam scheduling system still use the abbreviation LHI, where the other is LHCS).
