If oil pressure is above the setpoint, the gauge reads "normal" which is a bit over 40. If the oil pressure drops below the setpoint, the gauge drops to zero.This engine oil has been changed several times, it happens with fresh oil just as quick as with old oil. The oil pressure with a new filter is 36-37psi @ 1600 rpms. When the pressure starts to drop it will steadily drop down, over a period of about 3-400 miles, untill the low oil pressure warning comes on and kills the truck.
