Came back, turned it off, tried to restart. It cranked, fired, ran for about 3 seconds then back to no crank/no start. Tried to disconnect the BCM again and pulled the fuse for 20 minutes but no luck. Battery was still good, and I was able to run the starter by jumping the starter relay, but no starting.

Finally got the truck to fire and run. it takes 20-30 pumps to get the primer firm. it has no visible leaks around it and all the lines from it. when the motor is cool it fires right up. after running for 5-10 minutes and shut it off, it will no start. i have no codes either. Any help would be much appreciated. Duramaxduner. New member.

Hey John, FYI I found out the injectors NEED minimum 1500 PSI of rail pressure to open, at least the LML with piezo injectors do, and I'd bet the older ones do too. I've got plenty of tips and suggestions for making it as easy as possible. If rail pressure matches desired, diagnose other codes that may be related to starting problems. Unplug the fuel pressure regulator 2 (pressure control valve in left hand rail) electrical connector.
