Wont actually install the star cores, but it will make the terminal act like you did. You can disable all security, and lower the barrier around the power armor. Also counts as completing the quest. Only downside is the actual star core slots look empty. WORKFound it in a dead end corner. Blasted it and the step was marked as complete. Now the only remaining step is to claim it for a faction.
