Your build depends if you want him for offensive purposes or distraction purposes. Also, remember shift + potion automatically is dropped into your merc which helps a ton!

Faster attacks = quicker initial application chance for decrep. once it is applied, it will last a good while, and keep getting applied continuously. just shoot for attack speed and range of the weapon (if that applies to act 5 mercs, idk).
