A second thing to consider when looking at how the Cragheart is built, is to skip all the level 5 cards. Stone Pummel is more so for a mêlée focused build and there is a place for it, but not in my build. The main thing you didn't mention is that the true strength of Blunt Force is the good Initiative, which is something the Cragheart desperately needs, especially on the range build (almost every good initiative cards have melee top abilities). It also gives free experience on a bottom action, which is also very rare.You can still build toward an obstacle-based Cragheart. For one thing, many/most scenarios already contain single-hex obstacles, which the Cragheart uses to power its abilities. For two, there are higher levels you can sacrifice that don't really help toward the obstacle build much.
