This shotgun is one of the unmarked Sweet Sixteens in the "X" serial range that is unmarked as a Sweet Sixteen. It has the lightening cuts in the receiver, barrel ring and I expect the butt stock also. It was actually made in 1948 according to both the serial number and the barrel date code that is visible.
