The thing is, the V3X/Phase 4 and Ventum Pro/VTM are still better than those bows even after their big changes. You can't give a company a pat on the back for making big changes when they're still behind competitors. Mathews, Hoyt, and Bowtech are just above the others.The Mathews was shooting at 307 fps vs 296 from the Hoyt (!). I was so impressed by the draw cycle vs. speed from the Mathews. Then you consider the riser length of the Mathews (33.5" vs. 31" from the Hoyt) and the weight (4.25 lbs. vs. 4.5 lbs. from the Hoyt) and the reflex (1.5" on the Mathews vs. 1.75" on the Hoyt)...

The bow has only a quick bump in the grip at the shot, with no detectable vibration. One of the RX-4’s many outstanding qualities is its excellent balance at rest, full draw and after the shot. The draw cycle is firm, with no abrupt transitions for a consistent experience, and the Custom-Tune grip is comfortable and functional.If you have a V3X like me, I personally wouldn’t buy a Phase 4. It would be cheaper to add limb dampeners between the limbs or buy an adjustable stab, like the crossover stabs on my V3X. If you don’t have a Phase 4, it is one of the top 2 bows Ive shot this year. I shoot my old Hoyt Vector 35 better than my Vertix, even though the Vertix is smoother, quieter, and less hand shock. I gotta move to a longer ATA bow. Shot the VTM and was good, but not as smooth and quiet as the Mathews. To be fair the pull weight was 70 on the vtm and longer draw vs phase 4 at 65 lbs, but still.
