Yea installing GSHade is basically just downloading the zip and running the script file. So your instructions will work just the same. I believe Steam Deck uses Arch Linux, and Windows games run via the Proton compatibility layer. And you can select a specific one to use if Steam’s default has issues.

Reshade is currently known to work with TS4 and there are some very solid resources about using it with TS4 available from the modder SimplyAnjuta. Sul sul! Gshade is a forked version of reshade created specificially for ease of install and use with ffxiv. Everyone used gshade because it was simpler. One big thing that stands out is gshade shaders cut out the UI for you so your ability buttons don't change colors with the background. Historically people switched from Reshade to Gshade because Gshade was easier to install and had some features that only were usable on Reshade with a lot of hassle (like depth shaders), eventually Reshade made that easier but by then everyone switched to Gshade and generally people were happy until the recent shitshow, but current iterations of Gshade and Reshade are basically the same.
