A lot of guys recommend Rotella 15w40 diesel oil. It doesnt have the friction modifiers that regular car oils have that cause clutch slippage. I use Honda oil, and the Honda oil filter.Now, we'll get to the 2017 Honda Rancher 420 4×4 (TRX420FM1H).This particular model is the Manual Shift version of the 2017 Rancher 420. Before 2007 the gearshift shaft was the same between ES and Foot Shift models. In 2007 they started making the 2 models with different gearshift shafts/spindles. Apparently the new ES gearshift spindle is not attached to the back engine cover, but the Foot Shift is (just like both models pre 2007).
