When I use enemies like Swarms that are resistant to all physical damage, it works fine. In fact, all resistances other than this "non magical" variety work as expected, yet regardless of the option I choose in midi's workflow settings or import (from SRD) and fiddle with items. It's odd, to say the least. Check your monster.

Your midi-qol settings work in my environment. I'm using an adult red dragon attacking the Zanna PC from the compendium in the 5e system and it works. You should double check and update DAE, socketlib, and libWrapper. If that doesn't work, I suggest maybe backup and deleting settings.db in your world folder.
