I replaced the de-prime punch bolt with a carriage bolt (the mushroomed shaped head seems to give the cam more surface area to push on), wrapped the threads with masking tape (because I couldn't find my teflon tape), taped …If this is the tube style I think it is, it is a very early style feeder for a MEC 650. Who did you buy it from?? If they had it as a feeder for a 600 jr. you should be able to return it to them because of miss labeling. At station 4 the crimp starter is updated and the new one works pretty well, but then so did the old one. The final crimp station is also updated but again, not significantly better than the old version. About the only thing on the new versin 600 Jr. that is nice is the pre crimper, as it changes out from 6 to 8 in only a couple seconds.

JMHO but I would not lump the adjustable charge bar and the Spindex kit together as "upgrades." The Spindex is designed and produced by Mec. I can't conceive of anyone that had the newer design wishing to go back to the old.
