But I just found this post. I figured out that when you use the zoom tool on the map (PS5) it gets rid of all of the white icons on the map except for the Track Follower tag. So if you find that tag and stand near it and still don’t find your follower, you do have to use rescue which sucks….but just an easier way to find the icon :)

Thanks guys, turns out my horse wasn't at the old base but the last place I told them to guard so you are right. @King Gibbon, if you want to make sure to always knows where they're at, you can acitvate the beacon on the map in the follower tab (just beside map).
