About Us. Beaver Island Lodge was built in 1950 as a one story Hunting and Fishing Lodge on beautiful Lake Michigan. In the early 1980s, the Lodge was expanded with two extra floors of condominiums, as tourism was developing on Beaver Island. Current owners Eric and Dana Hodgson have been in the hospitality business on Beaver Island since 1996.

The Sunset Restaurant at Beaver Island Lodge is located on the first (ground) floor and is run independently of the hotel.
