This is a common issue. I picked up an extended release from AIM Surplus when I bought my new trigger for the same gun. That solved my issue with the mag release. It was the AIM Surplus-brand part, costing $5 and used the same spring and everything. I measured the mag release spring with a micrometer and it was .0505. The mag release spring is also very stiff making the release hard to push. The iron sights that come with the slide are plain black irons both front and rear.
