I have a 1985 150hp Mercury XR2 black max with no spark to any cylinder I have disconnected ALL of the shut of wires (black & yellow (If I remember the colors correctly. I can crank using key or jumping straight to starter relay coil, electric choke works fine, disconnected the rectifier wires and checked it, the tilt and trim are ok.My 1986 Mercury 150 XR2 Black Max cranks up and runs but when I put in the water it will not go the engine will die. I checked the fire and 3 cylinders are not firing. I also crossed the blue and red wires on the power packs and the same cylinders were out after firing engine back up.
