Mine is marked J. Stevens Arms Co., which signifies it was made after 1916. Models made between 1909 and 1915 were marked J. Stevens Arms & Tool. They were produced with 26, 28, 30, and 32-inch barrels and in both 16 and 12 gauge. Early guns used a 2 9/16th shell, but mine is one of the old 2¾” chambered models.
At this time, Stevens started (over the span of several years) to introduce different model numbered Favorites, like No. 17, No.18, & No.19. That serial number would have been from the first year's production (1894) -since Stevens Arms & tool was an extremely prolific firearms manufacturer, being the world's largest at that time.J. This Crack Shot is in good condition considering it is most likely around 100 years old. Features a 20" barrel with a falling block action. Marked "22- Long Rifle *Crack-Shot* J.
