Been looking into these for a little while and it seems like there are some good options available for other pistols out there but so far haven’t found anything for the 57. Joebklyn, I own two 22 LR conversion kits for 1911s. One is a Colt Ace that has a steel slide and a 2-piece barrel. This is a very expensive kit that is way over rated. I have a dedicated lower for it that works OK for about 40 rounds then you have to field strip it and clean the 2-piece barrel. I also have a Kimber that works much better.The kit has a replacement bolt, op-rod/spring, and a chamber insert that fixes against the side of the receiver with a set screw. 2-3 minute install with minimal parts.
