I have a miller bluestar 2e. It has ac power at the plugs and it will weld on the power mode, but it does not idle up. When it is switched to weld mode I get a tiny arc, not enough to stick the rod, but when it is manually idled up it will weld. The idle up solenoid is new and works. Wiring is all correct. I am stumped.Any help would be appreciated.

Sure, first u will need to check the condition of the stator and magnets under the flywheel. Make sure the 6 magnets r not loose or they will hit and damage the stator. Re: Miller BlueStar 2E AC/DC. I think you will find a shorted SCR 50 on the pcb. Check between pin C and J. Label and remove wires and test with ohmmeter.
