Marlin 783 bolt.

So, my recently acquired Marlin 783 has been misfiring. Not on every shot, but too often for my liking. I've given the rifle a fairly good cleaning (chamber, bolt, barrel and stock), but I think the problem is that the firing pin needs to be cleaned. The problem is, I can't get to it, because the breech bolt assembly pin is stuck.The cartridge guide is a little dohickey that sticks out just above the chamber that--wait for it--guides the cartridge into the chamber. It interlocks with the bolt when the bolt is closed. The safety on the Remington 783, out of all the guns we bought, ticked Rickey off. It is on black metal. It has a black punched S & F. It is hard to tell if the safety is on or not.
