Remove the trim from the storage area near the gear shift, and there will be a slot to insert the key blade. There is also details in your owner's manual under the Keys, Doors, and Windows section.When I put the key in the ignition it states to service the theft deterrent system and will not start the car. The key will open and lock the doors as well as open the trunk. What is really interesting is if I start the car with the other key fob, turn the car off, I can then start the car with the new remote fob (with OEM board / key).

One fob works perfectly for all functions, the other fob gets message 'Not Detected'. Now, here is the real strange part, the above fob will do ALL other functions perfectly, including remote start, lock/unlock doors, open trunk.
