There's only one area a day where it can spawn. When a public event appears in that area there is a small percentage chance that it will be the vex strike force. On days where terminal overload is in the same area, there will be no strike forces. You can follow a discord/twitter bot to get notified a few minutes before it begins.

Apparently it crashes on PS5. After playing the expansion since the first day, I finally found the Vex Strike Force event. Got the the 3 bosses and then got booted to the PS5 home screen. When I finally got back in, the event was gone. It's highly frustrating and needs to be fixed quickly.

Others have said it, but I feel like the zone should be at 1800. That way, as you climb in power, you can feel the enemies start to get easier. However, I feel like whatever zone has the rotating daily influencer (vex incursion zone or Europa DSC thing) should be set to +5 power to make it feel more dangerous and extraordinary.For my fellow titan mains, those are 6 and a half hour and 10 hour gaps respectively. The Vex Strike Force is now handing out Lost Sector exotics SGA. Title. The drop system is seeming to work like the lost sectors pool, as in it's dropping ones you don't have first. Did 5 today and got a new exotic every time! ... I won't include a link here but I know it's been posted in the comments ...There may still be a bug where the drop weighting doesn't work correctly with VSF if you don't own Lightfall. VSF and Lost Sectors have otherwise been fixed to nigh guarantee an exotic you haven't unlocked barring:

The main reason why in practice the reaction of strike forces appears very erratic is the simplified calculation of their strengths which can be wildly inaccurate, combined with a helping of bugs in said calculation.The Vex are testing CloudArk defenses in this region. Reality fractures as the VexNet bleeds through into Neomuna. In the Vex Incursion Zone, Vex will appear in greater numbers and Strand energy sources will temporarily increase Strand ability recovery.
