yes, Hidive works for the UK. It does have some titles that are regionally restricted however. I can't put my hands on the first season information but I do have information that the third season dub is available in the United Kingdom (GB, AI, SH, BM, AQ, IO, VG, KY, FK, GI, MS, PN, TC, GS). Hopefully, that means the first two seasons are also.
The app has been buggy for a long time before tvOS 16. If you leave the episode and go back to it and select Continue (ie where you left off), it will go to the place where you left off and then the audio loops repeatedly.
