Aug 14, 2019 · AC not working at all in 2011 Acadia. Every time I turn on my AC, it blinks 3 times and the light goes off. No cold air blows out at all. I had a friend put some freon in and it worked for a bit. But, by the morning, the same thing happened. A mechanic tried to put some leak stopper in it and then freon, but the car will not take the freon.
Just wanted to share an experience with our 2015 GMC Acadia. At about 14,700 miles our AC stopped blowing cool air. Of course this happens at the peak of the heat of summer. We had same issue with our 2014 LT and AC light would flash 3 times and then turn off. I also noticed our engine temp would flatline and would not give proper reading after driving for several minutes. I had to replace the ECT sensor which is a $20 part from Autozone. I have found that on the A/C relay there is around 3.3-3.4 volts on the ground (relay coil side) that is coming from the ecm to the fusebox. I even tested and found the same voltage directly at the wiring harness plugged into the ecm (X2-44). I figured, maybe a bad ecm. Replaced that and still showing 3.3 volts.
