After first sharp right turn, Slip dash light came on. Self-resetting did not occur while driving in straight line. Local Nissan dealer offered to "reload lost data" for $120.

I have 2500 miles on it.... not sure what it is anyone experience this????This cleared the VDC and Slip problem, but there must be a more direct way. Any help would be appreciated. Hi! Most alignment shops won't do this. If the steering angle sensor is way off, the VDC light will stay on and the system will not work at all. If it is only slightly off, it can confuse the computer. The VDC system uses input from the steering sensor, wheel speed sensors, and yaw rate/side/decel g sensor.

There were different light patterns but mostly it seemed to start with flickering Diff Lock light, then VDC Off light, then Diff Lock goes out and ABS, VDC Off, and VDC Slip are all on. It came with code P1839 and the dealer said faulty diff lock position switch/sensor. Replaced that (under warranty) and everything fine since.Now both the VDC OFF and SLIP lights are back on. I am currently dealing with this for the second time. this is what I am doing to engage the 4WD for snowy conditions driving this winter. 1. with the truck turned off. put switch in 4WD hi mode. 2. in the engin compartment remove the ABS 10 Apm fuse from IDPM. 3.

The result was a bad crank position sensor!! It's a $25 part and was replaced within 1.5 hours!! No more stalling or lights on my dash!

Of course, it's due for the yearly inspection this month and I'm not sure it will pass in Texas with those four lights on.
