Masterchef seems to have double-downed on the soap opera, ego-stroking judges (Joe is seriously the worst), basic, uncreative dishes, etc. What made MC great like team challenges and pressure tests are missing and all you're really left with is the judges nitpicking and cardboard cut-out, made-for-TV contestants with no personality. 4.He’s either gotten softer about slamming Indian and Mexican food (especially with Aaron as a judge) or FOX is editing it out of late. Seriously, Joe can cook and has cooked on the show. He’s not a Michelin star chef like Ramsey, but he’s definitely a good cook. Second, he’s very honest and direct.
