Narga's LBG has high Affinity and only slightly-less-than-average raw, but is still very capable of dealing lots of damage with the Pierce Lv. 1 RF. Blizzard Cannon. Another alternative to the Pierce RF options, Barioth has higher-than-average raw, some Affinity, and has the Freeze options if you want to use them.The damage is crap but I've been using it to ride monsters with great success. I suck at using the counter and both other options for wirebug damage on the lbg are simultaneously too slow and too low damage. LBG has fanning maneuver for a 10% or so more damage for a duration. (Not to mention that this is in competetion with Jyratodus' LBG which Rpf Spread 2) For Spread, HBG might have the edge. But not by much. And every other ammo (maybe except slicing and stickies and even then its tied or only a slight advantage to HBG) LBG has HBG beat currently.

The best starter High Rank set for most weapon types thanks to its High Critical Eye level. With the starter talisman, you can easily net a level 6 critical Eye which can grant a flat 30% affinity. Not only does it have awesome raw but it has a 2 slot deco and like 40% affinity naturally.
