How to turn on bridge mode xfinity.
The most common reason given for the this problem is double NAT or Network Address Translation, which occurs when two routers are connected to the system. "Knowing" that my xfi gateway was disabled in bridge mode, I started looking for other causes. Unfortunately, the settings were all correct, and resetting them did not fix the problem.
The Comcast gateway is in bridge mode. This setup works fine, but my concern is that when I convert to Comcast X1 boxes, that the mini boxes (I can't fit full -sized behind every TV like I did with the TiVos). When doing it this way, you will lose any customized settings, and they will need to be re-configured from scratch if you do the latter.
