It also requires ECM programming to deal with the DTC’s associated with removal of the EGR motor. Essentially an EGR delete removes the EGR valve/motor assembly along with the EGR cooler etc.

P0090 is fuel pressure regulator control circuit- I doubt it would keep it from starting, but would definitely affect the way it runs by the regulator not operating properly. If you didn’t have a prime problem before the sinister cat filter adapter, that kinda points to the problem right there.

The truck showed a p0090 fuel pressure reg code. I tried replacing the mid harness and replacing the fuel pressure regulator. Truck starts up and sounds like its knocking then alms down a bit and sounds like a lb7 but fuel rail pressure stays around 20-23k there is no demand for it as the truck is idling. Having some issues with my 2017 l5p. Have been getting the p0191 code for the last year and a half. Very intermittent sometimes it’ll go into engine reduced power 5 times in a 20 minute drive and other times it won’t at all. Have changed the fuel pressure sensor and pigtail. Which did fix it for a couple thousand miles.

This morning I changed my thermostats in the truck because one was stuck open. I changed it by removing serp belt, ac compressor, removing the two main plugs that rest above the hardline to the upper rad hose. No problem changing them out but I put everything back together and I immediately get a P0090 code.
