The '67 steering shaft in my car is one piece from the wheel all the way to the box. I was told there are 2 different size bearings on the engine side of the column. Of course the one in mine was NLA but a local GM steering column guy had the part I needed for cheap. From what I have seen, a lot of the '66/'67 stuff is similar and interchanges.

i think the rear bumper on a 1970 SS is the most unique bumper Chevrolet ever did with that distinctive SS rubber pad insert. if you buy a 1970 SS leave it that way,but if its a Malibu i agree with the 1971 + 1972 bumper being much nicer. the 1970 bumper without the SS rubber pad is just butt ugly.

I built the Buick 455 with wiseco pistons and aluminum edelbrock heads, what a monster this thing is! 12.22 @110.8 mph with just street tires.

The Chevelle is the model line name. The 300 was the cheapy cheapy vinyl floors etc. The 300 deluxe had minor upgrades.
