I'm not consistent with it past 50yds to feel comfortable hunting with it but that's mostly because the factory sights aren't precise enough for me. I think Benelli and Beretta both recommend either improved cylinder or cylinder chokes for slugs. You can maybe reach out to Beretta about a different choke or try Federal flight control shotshells. I use this on my 1301. I've posted pics.
