The dry clutch system as used on Gators is just that, a DRY system. Introducing any sort of lubricant is a bad thing to do. It might free up a stuck clutch for a short period of time, but the effect, if any, will be short lived. Even if there are cases where it frees up the clutch mechanism, the belt itself relies on friction.If in high, do it in low. The engine will race up like crazy in low until it reaches about 5MPH, but then the engine will sound normal. Slow speed in high will heat up the belt and can cause problems with the clutch. Peggy, Look at the picture in post number 2 above. At the upper left of the picture the forward reverse lever is pointed out. Shift it into neutral with the engine stopped. It first had problems with clutch, then front differential, so I sold it and purchased a Yamaha Viking EPS and I have had it nearly a year with no problems it shifts gears real good, and no problems with clutch and e wheel drive.
