I prefer Swords Bard 10 / Fighter 2. It has very high sustained damage because of Slashing Flourish, and it's got a large number of spells it can fall back on if needed. Hand crossbows with Sharpshooter are so good that any reasonable build works, however. Bard, Fighter, Ranger, Rogue, and any sort of multiclass of those you can think of.
