v8 motor swap mounts samson headders vortec 350 pilot brg a spare 0411 silver computer first i pulled the 4.3 motor out. i left the tranny in i didnt want to move it or adjust driveshaft or trans mounts. so the 350 swap mounts i slotted them about a inch more than they already were. dropped the motor in with the new mounts and the 2.8 frame pads.

It’s rather complicated though. An odd thing to try. I just got done swapping a 0411 PCM into my 99 OBS 5.7 L31 Suburban 4x4 with 4l60e with A/C, and Pushbutton 4x4. Everything works so far, throttle response is way better, driving is smoother, and 0-60 times is much faster. Most documentation says around 4500 is pretty much it, but my stock tubed TPI would start laying down at around 2500 rpm and would begin to plateau around 3000 and stay there until round about 4-4500 where it began to choke out and lay down. When the 0411 first came back from Black Bear, there was only 22 deg at wot. Cruise timing was way low too, mid 20's rather than mid 30's. I sent it back with the data logs and asked for more timing. They did add cruise timing, but wot is still 22.0. For the record there is no trace of knock.

Once you have the OS on there, you can open the corvette file and copy and paste the spark/fuel values etc back over and make any changes needed manually. Yes. If you open the tune file and it says P01 as ECM type under calibration details then you can select write entire and not brick the PCM. Pretty much all 1999-2002 OS's are interchangeable. I have got a 2000 Corvette with a OS 12593359 which only has 2 custom OS available whereas a friend has a 2000 with OS 9381344.

I believe the 98 knock sensor is in a different position on the block and a different thread. There is no swapping. Your choicese are: 1. seek a mail order tune to switch to switch the 0411 operating system to the type of knock sensor you have. 2.
