PLEASE HELP! V-Star 1300 engine problems. I have a 2007 Yamaha V-star 1300 Custom. It starts up fine and shifts fine, but when I'm releasing the clutch it makes a horrible grinding noise. I've checked the oil level and made sure the bike's in gear, the grinding doesn't happen in Neutral but in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd it's happening consistently.Drivetrain A 60-degree, SOHC, V-twin engine pulls duty as the powerplant for this touring cruiser. The Roadstar has a longer stroke for more torque, where as the 1300 has a shorter stroke with higher compression.
